Ali Bell Design

Hi everyone, I’m Ali Bell. I’ve worked in Theatre for many years in costume departments throughout the West End, the National Theatre and the RSC and most recently ‘School of Rock’. Like many others I found myself at a loose end when the dreaded Covid 19 struck but I took it as a motivating force to start up the project I’ve been saying I’ll get round to for years, House Portraits. My new business is providing hand drawn, bespoke illustrations to commission. I’m currently working in pencil, pen, watercolour and as soon as I can get back into the studio will offer screen printing, lino and collagraphs. I initially trained as a Fine Artist and Theatre Designer so am no stranger to producing very precise technical drawings and using my creative flare to create atmospheric architectural impressions. These are perfect as gifts for new homeowners, wedding presents or as a memento of a childhood home.

So far I am loving the opportunity to literally ‘go back to the drawing board’!
