Botany&Books

Hello! I am Thalia and I started Botany&Books last year as a way for people to experience escapism in their homes when our theatres had to close. At the time, I was managing the Savoy Theatre in the West End, and believe strongly in the power of escapism to help us with our mental health and bring more joy into our lives.

With no theatre, I decided to combine my love for second-hand books and candle making, and create a sensory reading experience. Each candle is inspired by the location of a book, designed to transport you into the author's world as you read.

All of my candles are vegan and cruelty free, and being kind to the planet is one of my key values in business and in life, so all packaging is recyclable and all books are secondhand - giving them a new lease of life!

I now offer monthly book and candle subscriptions, a growing gift shop and have just launched candle making workshops too. Perfect for gifts for loved ones or as a treat for yourself.

So if you're interested in enjoying beautiful mindful reading and making experiences, head to my website to find out more:

Follow me on socials too to keep up to date with new releases and lots of fun behind the scenes!
