Knitted by JW

I’m Jane of @knittedbyjw and I make hand knitted accessories and homeware.

I learnt to knit when I was 6 years old. My Grandma taught me how to knit scarves for my teddy bears and I’ve been hooked ever since.

When the pandemic started, my job as a Deputy Stage Manager in theatre came to a complete halt. In order to help pass the time and feel productive I turned to my knitting as a way to keep creating. Encouraged by friends, I then decided to take the plunge and start Knitted by JW to share the comfort of beautiful and practical knitted things.

I love colour and texture, and aim to bring both together to create items that can evoke joy every time they’re used. Even dishcloths can be beautiful!

As well as items available in my Etsy shop, I also take custom orders for snoods/scarves in a colour of your choice. Perfect for grey days as a treat for yourself, friends, family or even your dog!

Pop on over to my Instagram to say hello – and enjoy the photos of my dog and knitwear model Maisie!
