Virtual Market: Taking Part
What a Not On The West End Virtual Market entails:
-
The market will be hosted on NotOnTheWestEnd.co.uk and provide links through to participating businesses own shops, who will be offering a discount for the course of the weekend.
-
Over the course of the weekend we will be hosting several Instagram live streams, giving the involved businesses an opportunity to join us and talk about both what they make and their theatre life before the pandemic.
-
A prize competition* to raise money for Acting for Others.
What we’d be asking for from you:
-
Promoting the event before hand
-
Offering a 10% discount code to anyone finding you through Not On The West End and shopping with you over that weekend - using the code NOTWE10
-
Providing us with all necessary information/ photos we will need for the event (logo, brief description, link to shop etc) by specified deadlines
-
Create a special grid post for the event to be posted over the weekend that will be shared on NOTWE Instagram story
- OPTIONAL: Taking part in a live stream to talk about your business
- OPTIONAL (but very much encouraged): Donating a prize for the Charity Prize Competition*.
* This competition very much takes the form of a raffle, but technically we can't call it that without getting a gambling license.
Other Info:
-
Any Not On The West End business can submit
-
Businesses with something to buy on the day work better than those who offer services or who work solely by commission
-
The interactive parts of the event, beyond being part of the market map, work better for businesses with an instagram presence (even if it's new/small).
-
A limited number of places are available, and we want to have a good range of businesses, so not all submissions will be successful.
-
Priority will be given to businesses who have not been a part of the previous market.
-
Submissions close at midnight on Wednesday 20th January 2021.
-
Please do not share anything about the market on social media until after we have announced it at the end of January.
