1. Botany & Books 

Botany & Books created beautiful set of pre-loved books paired with candles inspired by their stories. Read an amazing classic book as you burn a hand poured soy candle designed specifically to help transport you to the world you're reading about. 

So far Botany & Books have created candles to go with The Secret History by Donna Tartt (Leather and Tobacco) and The Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf (Amber and Orange), and new sets are released each month. 2. Freddie and Polo

The first Freddie and Polo book, Kindness Is Contagious, is perfect for the youngest book lovers. Written by director Guy Unsworth and illustrated by actress, Stephanie Clift, at the start of lockdown. Through their kickstarter and customer donations they've been able to send over 70 copies to hospitals and nurseries.

3. The Sustainable Book Club

The Sustainable Book Club offers lovely second hand and vintage books in hand-crafted, eco-friendly boxes that fit through a letter box. You can choose from Fiction, Non-Fiction, Plays, Poetry or go rogue and pick "Surprise Me"! A mystery book of your chosen genre will be sent out with selection of ethical and sustainable treats.

4. A Skimpton Compendium

Actor John C Biggins used his time in lockdown to write 'A Skimpton Compendium', a collection of raucous and juicy stories set a 1930s boys public school!

5. Hannah Varley Designs

Hannah takes inspiration from the greats of literature, from Pride and Prejudice to The Chronicles of Narnia, to make fantastic art and prints - including wonderful bookmark sets. Character illustrations using ink and watercolours on pages of the stories printed on high quality paper to create the perfect way to keep mark your page in your favourite book.

5. Masks of Hackney

Using the little scraps of fabric from making masks and bags Masks of Hackney makes these fantastic little bookmarks that can slip onto the corner of your books. Great for reading outdoors as they stop the pages flying open, keeping recipe books open whilst you're cooking, and adding some colour to the bedside or coffee table - they can also double as a coaster!

They are available from their website for £3 or 4 for £10 - a great deal for a family of readers! 

6. Defiant Creations 

This elastic bookmark is decorated with hand embroidered felt drama masks. With a comedy mask and a tragedy mask, it's appropriate for any book!

7. London Paperie

This wonderful print has a quote from CS Lewis - "You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me." If that sounds like someone in your life why no get them this to hang in their reading nook (or whatever they use for a reading nook - bath, pillow fort, shed?)
