Made by Waves

Hi everyone, my name is Kyrie and this is my small business Made by Waves. Before all of the doors to our theatres closed I used to work in Stage Management, where I spent 6 years predominately specialising in Opera and working for companies including Scottish Opera, Opera Holland Park and the Royal Opera House. I more recently moved into Event Management and was fortunate enough to spend the last couple of years working at the National Theatre on projects including River Stage and numerous exhibition installations.

I have always been interested in making jewellery but like most of us working within the arts, I just never had the time to learn the skills needed to be any good at it. So during lockdown, I took the time to learn something new! Using sea glass collected for my wedding last year I dived in and proudly launched Made by Waves. I handmake unique and individual pieces of jewellery using sea glass handpicked from the coasts. Beachcombing has been hugely therapeutic through these times and I love being able to create these beautiful pieces from the beaches into something truly unique.

If anyone is interested please do take a look at my Etsy page and please DM me on Instagram @madebywavesbykyrieann if you have an idea for a custom order you would like created.

A huge thank you to Not On The West End for supporting my little creation. This community has been a brilliant support network over these challenging times and I have met so many brilliantly talented people.
